Selection for admission to the Master’s Degree courses in Sophia and the awarding of three scholarships named after Leo Andringa

 

The Sophia University Institute has announced for academic year 2017/2018 a competition for the selection and awarding of 3 scholarships, subsidised with the contributions of the Sophia Foundation  in memory of Leo Andringa – the passionate supporter of the Economy of Communion and Sophia – reserved for youths aged between 20 and 26 who wish to attend the two-year Master’s Degree courses in the Institute.

 

 

THE DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TUESDAY, 4 JULY 2017 AT 12.30 A.M..

 

The youths who wish to apply, of any nationality, have to possess a first level  university diploma, achieved after at least three years of studies (corresponding to a minimum of 180 ECTS credits at any University or equivalent Institute.

 

They also need to demonstrate that they have appropriate language abilities:

 

·       - certification of a level B2 proficiency in the Italian language for candidates applying for the Master’s Degree in Trinitarian Ontology and in Culture of Unity;

 

·       - certification of a level B1 proficiency in the English language for candidates applying for the Master’s Degree in Economic and Political Sciences.

 

Candidates will be selected by a commission of judges who will examine  the applications submitted, and based on the interview on motivations and certified economic conditions and the classifications of merit will be published by 10 July 2017. The scholarships awarded to the winners will be attributed total or partial exemption of the payment for annual university fees, for the enrolment in academic years 2017/2018 and 2018/2019.

 

At the end of the 1st year of the two-year course, the attribution of the total or partial payment of the fees for the 2nd academic year will be established by the Commission of judges only after a positive assessment of the academic merits related to the 1st year: the student must have achieved at least 40 ECTS by 15 July 2018.
